The Abadja Rhythm web app allows you to select different mixes of instruments so you can thoroughly explore the rhythmic relationships in an African drumming ensemble from Ghana.
You can interact with the ensemble by using the instrument sliders to change each instrument's volume. You can also "mute" an instrument by clicking its corresponding mute button or pressing numbers 1 - 6 on your computer keyboard.
You can interact with the ensemble by tapping an instrument's mute button to turn its part on and off to create a mix.
This is an adaptation of the Abadja rhythm common to the Ewe people of Ghana, as transcribed by William K. Amoakn and published in Bruno Nettles' book "Music of the Western Continents".
